The road of life takes many twists and turns and mine is no different. My experiences, however, make me a valuable member of the Michelle Bowman Real Estate Team.
I started my career as an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force. At a very young age I was taught the importance of what attention to detail really means. Every pilot that stepped foot into my aircraft trusted me with their lives and I never let them down. Once they returned home from a mission they would return home to their spouses and children. I played a crucial role in making sure that happened!
The next step in my career was to finish my Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology. That experience sharpened my math skills to a razor sharp edge and it fine tuned my analytical skills. To be able to forecast that severe weather, one must be able to dig deep into the numbers and look at the larger picture to find those key ingredients to successfully forecast dangerous weather.
After finishing my degree, I came back to the Air Force as an Officer. During the 8 years I spent as an Officer, I deployed twice to Southwest Asia. The second time was during Operation Iraqi Freedom, where I earned two of the best testimonials I will ever receive:
“Thank you for watching out for my husband…a leadership role can be especially difficult in times like these, but from what I understand, you are a great leader.”
“Thank you for your willingness to serve to make this a better world.”
You see, I was the Officer in Charge of the 4th Infantry Division Combat Weather Team, and there were Spouses, Children, and Parents who counted on me to bring their loved one home safely. I was awarded the Bronze Star for my leadership role, but the greatest award I will ever receive is knowing that everyone on my team made it home safely.
After experiencing war first hand, I can tell you wholeheartedly that I have learned to appreciate my country and what it stands for. I learned to appreciate the small liberties we share, and I also learned to appreciate a roof over my head. That roof over our head is the American Dream (the dream of Home Ownership). I fought to defend that freedom then and I want to make that dream come true for people today. That’s why I decided to earn my Real Estate license and work with someone who has the experience in the industry and the personal values that I hold so dear.
Buying or selling a home is an extremely important decision. Armed with the analytical skills, acute attention to detail, experience to “weather” any difficult situation, and the drive to help others achieve the American Dream, I ask you to give me the opportunity that so many others have given to me….the opportunity to earn your trust. My honesty, integrity, and personal drive to accomplish your mission will certainly win you over. |
